Sandi & Adam

Last month on the last day of 2011 I spent my new years eve shooting a very sweet couple’s wedding – Sandi & Adam.  They had a Greek Orthodox ceremony in Hamilton and they’re reception at the Waterfront Hotel in Burlington over looking Spencer Smith park.  I’m not the biggest fan of New Years so I couldn’t think of a better way to spend the day.

NEW WEBSITE & NEW PORTFOLIO

I’m so happy to unveil the new home for all of my wedding work, www.jamesheaslipweddings.com.  Thanks to the tireless efforts of our incredible webmaster Connor Lovat-Fraser, we have a clean and crisp new look for our site.  After spending the better part of a week sifting through over 100,000 photos I shot on weddings this year, we were able to narrow it down to about 200.  Take a look through the portfolio section if you have a minute or two and let us know what you think.  Either leave a comment or drop us a message at info@jamesheaslip.com.  2012 is booking up very fast so you’re interested in making a booking I would highly suggest getting in contact sooner rather than later!

p.s. We’ve started a brand new Facebook “like” page where you can stay up to date with all the goings on here at jamesheaslipweddings.com, click here to join.

Patrick & Brittania

About a week ago I returned home from an incredible vacation/wedding at the beautiful Azul Sensatori resort down in Mexico.  My future cousins-in-law, Patrick & Brittania, got married in a very sweet beach front ceremony.  We felt a bit of mother nature’s wrath, but not before we got in a few set-ups.  I had an amazing time shooting Patrick & Brittania’s wedding, but I have to admit as good as I feel about the photos, the high point of the day was the two hour clinic I put on in and around the dance floor.

Bridal Party

This is a quick shot from a shoot I did with my very own bridal party.  It was so much fun for Katie and I to have all of our very best friends (minus Rev. J Moore) in one place.  I’m the handsome Jonah Hill look-a-like in the middle and my beautiful future wife Katie is sitting in the black dress in front of me.  T-Minus seven months, pretty pumped!

Jill & Kehl

I shot my last Summer wedding on Saturday.  Jill and Kehl had the ceremony at the Tapleytown church in Winona.  Easily the most photogenic church I’ve shot in, nothing but stained glass and natural light.  After, we shot some post ceremony photos down at Fifty Point and then moved to the Grand Olympia for the reception.  Very sweet couple who were game for every photo idea I threw at them.  My next wedding is in 3 weeks down in Mexico, stay tuned for those!

Sarah & Billy

As the second half of my weekend wedding double header I had the pleasure of shooting an incredibly sweet couple, Sarah & Billy.  I’ve known Sarah since elementary school, she’s the older sister of one of my best friends.  I was introduced to Billy at a cottage weekend last summer.  They had a very intimate ceremony and reception at Sarah’s parents home in Picton.

Emily & Nathan

Here’s the first of my double header wedding weekend from this past Saturday.  Emily & Nathan had a beautiful ceremony and reception at the Toronto Hunt Club in the east end of Toronto.  A great venue, with incredible food and a very fun couple!

Naomi & Adam

I’m a little late to the party with this post, I’ve been so caught up with other projects during the week and I’ve been pulling double header wedding weekends the past two weeks.  I wanted to dedicate some real time to Naomi and Adam’s beautiful wedding held at Heron Point Golf Course in Ancaster.  Great day, fun couple!

Brittni & Eric

I shot an incredibly cute wedding yesterday with Brittni & Eric. The ceremony was held at West Plains United Church in Burlington and featured amazing live music performed by friends of the couple. Afterwards, we headed over to the reception in the gorgeous backyard of Brittni’s parents’ home.  Brittni is  a Crafts student at Sheridan College and she designed the majority of the decorations at the reception.  Everything was carefully planned and executed with care, and the personal touches made the entire event very intimate. Another very sweet couple that I’m so proud I had the opportunity to shoot with.

Eric & Sarah

I had an incredibly fun wedding on Saturday, I was photographing an old friend of mine Eric and his lovely new wife Sarah.  They’ve made an appearance here on my wedding blog before, they asked me to shoot some engagement photos back in the fall.  It was great to connect with Eric again, who I have to say is legitimetly one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met, and I was so happy to see him end up with such a sweet girl as Sarah, who seems to be the ying to his yang.
